Riding

• The minimum size of a group is usually 2 persons and the maximum 6 persons

• Riding is possible all year round.

• All riding is arranged with the instructor’s guidance, so please book your time in advance.

• In order to make the most of the riding excursions, we ask you to inform the participants of riding skills and health risks, food allergies etc.

• All horse riding can be booked with a picnic lunch.

• Take with you weather-resistant outdoor clothing and your own supportive shoes.

• We will have a safety helmet, leather chaps and, if necessary, a balaclava (ski mask) and gloves.

• The minimum age recommendation is 12 years (if the child does not regularly exercise horseback riding)

• There is no age limit for field-riding and riding on hand-led horses.

• The temperature limit in winter is about – 18c. We do not ride during a thunderstorm.

• The capacity of our strongest horses is approx. 100 kg and the smallest carry about 80 kg. Please inform us in advance if the participant weighs more than 90 kg.

• Riding under the influence of alcohol is forbidden.

• We can organize the trips in Finnish, English, German and Swedish.

• Paimentupa has a horse liability insurance. It does not include accident insurance for the rider. Your own accident insurance will apply.

• During the horseback riding, we use Icelandic type saddles with safety stirrups. Our horses are calm and the beginner trails pass through trails and forest roads, not on the main streets.

• The safety of our company follows the recommendations of the Equestrian Federation of Finland and generally accepted practices.

• If you don’t cancel your reservation in advance, we reserve the right to charge full price, if you don’t come.
